Kangana Ranaut Takes Dig At Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Dingy Rented Apartment’, Defends Her Own Zamindar Roots.

Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly to Taapsee Pannu’s latest comments about their old feud, taking a dig at her upbringing while defending her own family background. Kangana suggested that people from difficult financial backgrounds had often questioned her upbringing and attacked her parents.

Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee recently said that she has never met Kangana, despite their public feud. She added that their views and the way they speak about each other reflect their respective upbringings.

Kangana reacted to it in an Instagram story, writing, “This is unfortunate and so wrong but she is not the only one many people who grew up in shady cramped up outskirts of cities in dingy rented apartments with questionable backgrounds and incomes often question my upbringing and malign my parents and background who hail from a renowned Rajput zamindar Family and raised by educated distinguished parents. It was a personal choice for me to start from scratch why attack my parents for that ? Where is this hubris coming from ? Jesus school English?”

In the post, Kangana contrasted Taapsee’s background with her own. She said her parents came from a “renowned Rajput zamindar Family” and were educated and distinguished.

What Taapsee Pannu Said

Taapsee told India Today that she had never met Kangana before their issues began and has still not met her. She said their views reflected their own upbringing and way of seeing things. “I haven’t met her. I didn’t meet her before when these so-called issues started. I haven’t met her now as well. My opinion on her is reflective of my upbringing and my way of talking, my way of perceiving things and hers… she stands by hers. So, I think that’s enough for everybody to look and decide who comes from where.”

Taapsee had also addressed the feud in an earlier conversation with Shubhankar Mishra. She said she had never directly fought with Kangana and pointed to comments made about her by Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel. “I don’t know if I ever fought. A fight happens when two people clash. I never clashed. You tell me — have I ever said even a single line against her? Her sister called me a ‘cheap copy.’ She said that since I don’t earn as much money as her, that makes me cheap. If she is such a brilliant actress, I have no problem being called her copy. You can take out any statement of mine – I haven’t said anything against her.”

How The Feud Started

The Taapsee-Kangana feud began in 2019 and grew more intense in 2020. Rangoli had called Taapsee a “sasti copy” of Kangana, while Kangana later referred to Taapsee and others as “B-grade actresses” and “needy outsiders” during debates around nepotism and industry politics.
