In a recent interaction, Parul opened up about working with Kapil, describing the experience as deeply inspiring, especially since it marked her first film.

Calling Kapil “a fun person,” Parul said being around him was a learning experience in itself. “It’s just working with somebody who’s really achieved something in his life. I was constantly looking for inspiration or something to learn from him,” she told Hindustan Times.

She added that she spent most of the shoot observing him closely, taking cues from the way he carried himself on set. What stayed with her the most was his resilience. “What I learned is that you may fall, but you can always get up again. You’re always hopeful,” Parul shared.

‘He Has a Childlike Belief in What He’s Doing’

Parul also spoke about Kapil’s approach to work, describing it as almost childlike in its sincerity. “He genuinely believes in what he’s doing,” she said, adding that his ability to fully immerse himself in his craft left a lasting impression on her.

Curious about Kapil’s journey—from performing alongside other comedians to becoming the first among them to headline his own show and successfully transition into films—Parul revealed that she did ask him about it. His advice, she recalled, was simple yet reassuring: “Keep doing what you’re doing.”

Is Kapil Sharma Funny Off Camera Too?

Addressing the question everyone asks, Parul confirmed that Kapil’s humour doesn’t switch off once the cameras stop rolling. “He’s funny situationally. He finds jokes in moments and then laughs at them himself, and his laugh is so contagious that you end up laughing too,” she said.

At the same time, she noted that Kapil is far more reserved than his on-screen persona suggests. “If you don’t know him, he won’t just start a conversation. For a few days, I wasn’t sure if I could just go up and talk to him,” Parul admitted.

Quiet Moments That Left an Impact

When asked if there was a specific off-screen moment she treasured, Parul said it wasn’t one incident but the overall warmth of the experience. “It was a big ensemble, and everyone was doing their own thing. But for me, asking him that one question felt like the first real conversation I had with him,” she said.
