Mumbai police have intensified their efforts to locate the suspect, forming multiple teams to ensure swift action.

Hours after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by a robber at his Mumbai residence, it has now been revealed that the attacker had asked the Bollywood actor for a ransom of Rs 1 crore. As reported by NDTV, police sources have claimed that a member of Saif’s domestic staff revealed during interrogation that the robber entered the house with a knife via the actor’s four-year-old son Jehangir’s room and then demanded Rs 1 crore from him.
Previously, a report by IANS claimed that the person who attacked Saif Ali Khan hid inside the house throughout the night. At around 2 AM, the actor heard noises when one of his female employees was attacked in Jeh’s room. This prompted Saif to intervene, which led to an altercation between the two and the attacker injured both Saif and the female employee. The Bollywood star was stabbed six times by the robber following which he was rushed to the hospital.
Later, Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, revealed that Saif Ali Khan was admitted at 3:30 a.m. after sustaining six injuries inflicted by sharp objects, including two deep wounds. One of these injuries is near his spine, requiring immediate medical attention.
The actor’s team released a statement confirming the attack and revealing that he was undergoing surgery at the hospital. In the statement, the team requested “the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” adding that they would keep his fans updated on the situation.
The actor is now out of danger but is still hospitalized.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have intensified their efforts to locate the suspect, forming multiple teams to ensure swift action. A CCTV footage, which reveals the attacker’s face, has also been traced and further efforts to nab him are currently underway.
