Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation during production.
Blake Lively’s co-stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel have extended their support to the actress after she accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment during the filming of It Ends With Us. The three women have worked with Blake in the 2005 film, The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants.
Barbie-fame America Farrera took to Instagram to share a joint statement that read, “As Blake’s friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation.”
“Throughout the filming of It Ends with Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice,” the statement mentioned.
The actresses said that “most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors’ stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding.” “We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment. We are inspired by our sister’s courage to stand up for herself and others,” they added.

However, the film’s success was overshadowed by reports of on-set tensions, strained relationships, and personal grievances. These whispers grew louder until Blake Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit against Justin Baldoni brought the issues into sharp focus.

The lawsuit, filed in California, details a series of incidents that Lively claims created a hostile work environment, causing her severe emotional distress. Beyond the on-set behaviour, Lively alleges that after she raised concerns and sought a safer work environment, Baldoni and his team initiated a campaign to tarnish her reputation.
The lawsuit references internal communications suggesting efforts to manipulate public perception and discredit Lively through social media and planted negative stories. Notably, Baldoni hired crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan, known for her work with Johnny Depp during his defamation trial, to manage the situation. Baldoni’s legal team has categorically denied the allegations, labelling them as false and defamatory. His lawyer stated that Lively’s claims are an attempt to harm Baldoni’s reputation and are without merit.
