Kartik Aaryan has just made Christmas merrier for his fans with the announcement of his much-awaited return to the genre that skyrocketed him to superstardom — romantic comedies! And this time, he’s teaming up with none other than Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and is directed by Sameer Vidwans.
This collaboration is making headlines already as it marks the end of their much talked-about fallout after Kartik’s controversial exit from Dostana 2, a project he was supposed to star in with Janhvi Kapoor, which eventually got shelved. The two finally buried the hatchet earlier this year, and now, they’re ready to create magic together.
Kartik took to Instagram to drop a quirky promo video, introducing his character, Ray — a self-proclaimed mama’s boy with a tumultuous dating history. He reveals that he’s had three girlfriends, all of whom led a miserable life post-breakup. Determined to change this, Ray vows to make his fourth relationship work at all costs.
Karan Johar also shared the video on his Instagram stories, calling it “a merry gift this Christmas,” while tagging Kartik and cheering, “Let’s go!”
Fans of both Kartik and Karan are thrilled to see this iconic duo coming together, and the rom-com promises to bring love, laughter and loads of entertainment. I
Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have mended their relationship after a fallout in 2021. The two had a rift when Kartik was dropped from Karan’s Dostana 2, which was set to star him alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Despite the film already being in production, Kartik’s exit made headlines, sparking rumours that Karan was upset over Kartik’s alleged “unprofessional” behavior.
In April this year, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar took the internet by storm with their bromance. A video, shared by a Reddit user, showed Karan introduce Kartik as “a superstar” at an event as the filmmaker called upon the actor on stage. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, give it up… Kartik Aaryan is in the house! Ye hui na entry… superstar, hero wali entry… aa chuke hai humare superstar,” Karan said in the video, as Kartik smiled, putting an end to their infamous fight.
