Urfi Javed Defends Samay Raina After Being Slut-Shamed On India’s Got Latent: ‘He Is A Friend’

On Friday, it was reported that Urfi Javed was shooting for India’s Got Latent when some of the contestants crossed the line and made some abusive comments against her.

A day after it was revealed that Urfi Javed walked out of Samay Raina’s India’s Go Lantent after a contestant abused and slut-shamed her, the social media sensation has now come out in stand-up comedian’s support. Recently, Urfi took to her Instagram handle and urged everyone not to blame Samay for whatever happened on the sets of his show. She called him a ‘friend’ and revealed that he was nice to her.
“I no way I blame @mainsamayhoon! He is a friend, I am talking about the contestants! The entire team came and consoled me. Samay has been nothing but nice to me since then,” Urfi wrote.
On Friday, it was reported that Urfi Javed was shooting for India’s Got Latent when some of the contestants crossed the line and made some abusive comments against her. Reportedly, while one contestant allegedly referred to her as a derogatory term, another made a crude remark about her personal life. Not just this, one of the contestants also compared her to a famous adult star.
Later, addressing the controversy, Urfi Javed wrote on her Instagram story, “I think I missed the memo, nowadays people think it’s cool to abuse someone or just slut shame someone for some views. I’m sorry but I’m not ok with anyone abusing me, slut shaming me for my body counts (which they don’t know but they just assumed it must be high). All this for what? For 2 mins of fame? The guy who abused me wasn’t even joking, he got legit mad at me when I asked him why he was faking being handicapped! He just abused me on the stage in front of so many people.”
“The next one was just trying to be cool, slut shaming me comparing me to Mia Khalifa expressing his displeasure over my high body count. I was disgusted. I should’ve said something to these men but I didn’t cause the place I was at, everyone thought this was cool. No, it’s not. It’s not cool,” she added.
