Aanchal Munjal On Working With Allu Arjun In Pushpa 2: ‘He Didn’t Speak To Anyone For Days!’

Aanchal Munjal is riding high on the success of her recently released film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The actress delivered a short yet noteworthy performance in the film but has won the hearts of critics and fans alike. Now, Allu Arjun’s co-star, Aanchal Munjal, sat down for an interview with a media outlet. During the interaction, the actress opened up about working with the actor and called him humble and extremely dedicated.
She expressed how Allu Arjun was so dedicated to his character as Pushpa Raj that he didn’t even speak to anyone on set for the first few days. She also shared her journey into acting and why she chose the minute-long role in the movie.
While speaking to Times Of India TV, the actress spoke about her experience working with Allu Arjun. Anchal said, “It has been fabulous because I didn’t expect anything. So my experience has been very mesmerizing. He is the most humble to work with, and he is so dedicated that the first day that I walked on the set, he didn’t speak too much to anybody. This was because the scene required him to be a little, you know, angry. And I thought he was this very strict, stern kind of person. But the second day onwards, he started talking, and I came to know that he is an amazing man.”
Furthermore, the actress opened up about her journey in TV and films, “I think for me, it’s been a magical journey. A lot of people ask me about my experience from TV to the silver screen, but my reply is that it’s not the first film that I’m doing. Even in my childhood, I was always doing TV and film simultaneously. I was never limited to just one medium or platform. So yes, having said that to be a part of Pushpa 2, in any and every capacity, is a very big deal.”
“I thought there would be questions arising as to why you would do such a small role after having done such big and prominent roles in other films. But the media has given me a lot of love, the audience is giving you a lot of love. One of the media guys told me that they questioned a lot of actresses, saying that if you get even a two-second role in Pushpa, would you do it? And everybody’s answered like a boss. Somebody would be really stupid to say no to it even if it’s a one-minute role,” she added.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule starred Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Speaking about Aanchal’s role in Pushpa 2, the actress essayed a brief role. She starred alongside Allu Arjun and Saurabh Sachdeva in a few scenes as the latter’s love interest. The film, released on December 5, has already crossed around the Rs 1300 crore mark at the Indian box office.
