MTV’s popular couple-based reality show Splitsvilla’s new season has premiered, and it’s already all things spicy. While the show has just had its first two episodes telecast, it is the off-screen controversies that are grabbing more eyeballs than the show itself.

The controversy revolves around the show’s mischief maker, Uorfi Javed, and a contestant on the show, Niharika Tiwari. The issue gained headlines when, during a recent episode, Uorfi hinted at an unresolved controversy with the contestant and said, “We had a controversy outside the show.” This comment sparked curiosity and controversy among the contestants.

Soon after the episode went on air, social media started circulating theories, including one claiming that Niharika had earlier criticised Uorfi’s outfits and height. Meanwhile, content creator Shruti Mishra alleged that the tension between Uorfi and Niharika began after the contestant allegedly kissed Uorfi’s boyfriend in front of her during a party.

As this theory started to gain headlines, with people minting speculation, Uorfi quickly dismissed these allegations and clarified, “This is not true 😂😂😂 kaha se apne mann se bana lete ho ye sab.” Niharika also responded strongly to the accusations, expressing disbelief, and stated, “Wtf 🤣🤣🤣🤣 LMAO 🤣 Bro… Imagine speaking so confidently about someone you’ve never met. Couldn’t be me. But if making up stories for views pays your bills, carry on.”

A total of 32 contestants will take part in the reality show. Anjali, Akanksha Choudhary, Anisha Shinde, Diksha Pawar, Sadhaaf Shankar, and Soundarya Shetty are a few of the contestants.

Splitsvilla has developed an intriguing idea for this season, in which competitors are split into two groups. The two groups will be housed in the Paisa Villa and the Pyaar Villa, respectively.

Karan Kundrra recently opened up about his anticipated return to the dating show. “I am super excited to host this season alongside Sunny Leone, who knows the game inside out,” he told IANS.

Meanwhile, Sunny Leone said Splitsvilla “has always been very close to my heart”. “I’ve seen the show grow with changing mindsets, dating styles and the realities of modern love,” she added.
