Prithviraj Sukumaran surprised fans on his birthday with a first glimpse of the upcoming action drama Khalifa. Packed with action scenes, the visuals introduce us to Prithviraj Sukumaran, a feared gold smuggler named Aamir Ali. Taking to his Instagram handle, Prithviraj Sukumaran shared the poster and also link of first glimpse. “A revenge forged by a lineage that spans generations! Next onam.. Aamir Ali will write his vengeance in gold! #KHALIFA – The Ruler,” read the caption. The film, which was announced in 2022, is said to take place against the backdrop of a gold mafia and was earlier expected to be shot extensively in the UAE.

Prithviraj Sukumaran On Working With Kareena Kapoor In Daayra

Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran are all set to collaborate for the first time in Meghna Gulzar’s film Daayra. The picture is produced by Junglee Pictures and was announced in April this year. In his latest interview, the actor expressed his excitement for the project and stated that he is depending on Daayra to be a hit feature film upon release. In conversation with Zoom, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, “Daayra is a script I am very excited about. I think Meghna has got a wonderful film on paper. Given her skill and craft as a filmmaker, I am really counting on that being a cracker of a feature film.” Sharing about his excitement to work with Kareena Kapoor, Prithiviraj said, “Most of all, the excitement is palpable for me because Kareena is doing the other character. And the film is very much about these two characters.”
