The actor, who has spent decades in cinema facing highs and lows, including washing dishes for just Rs 150 a day, has now amassed a net worth of Rs 149 crore, with over 200 films and numerous plays to his credit.

Actor Sanjay Mishra has joined the growing list of celebrities owning property on Madh Island. Following Archana Puran Singh and Pankaj Tripathi, he has invested in a luxury sea-facing apartment worth Rs 4.95 crore. The deal was officially registered on July 11, 2025, according to The Indian Express.

Sanjay Mishra’s new property is located on the 15th floor of ‘Raheja Exotica Cyprus’. It has a carpet area of 1,702 square feet and an additional deck of 201 square feet, bringing the total area of the house to over 1,900 square feet. According to Zapkey, Sanjay Mishra paid stamp duty of Rs 28.50 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 for this transaction. According to The Free Press Journal, playback singer Jubin Nautiyal also owns a property in the building. The singer owns a four-bedroom apartment on the 34th floor of the tower. He purchased this property in December 2024 for Rs 4.94 crore. Besides Sanjay Mishra, actors Kartik Aaryan, Ronit Roy, Ayushmann Khurrana, and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also own properties in the area.

Sanjay Mishra has been active in the film industry since 1995. The 61-year-old actor has worked in over 200 projects and was recently seen in films like “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” “Bhool Chuk Maaf,” “Son of Sardaar 2,” and “Heer Express.” He has also participated in several theatre plays.

The actor has faced many hardships in his life. He once told Screen that he left the film industry and started working at a dhaba. Sanjay Mishra said, “I was suffering from a serious illness. Doctors removed 15 litres of pus from my stomach, and after recovering, I lost my father. I was starting to lose my life. So, I went to Rishikesh and started making omelettes at a dhaba on the banks of the Ganges.”

Sanjay further said, “The dhaba owner told me I had to wash 50 cups every day and I would get Rs 150. But then I thought, ‘I need money to survive.'”

One day, Sanjay Mishra received a call from filmmaker Rohit Shetty. He offered him the film ‘All the Best,’ which marked his comeback to films.

In 2024, Sanjay Mishra built an organic farmhouse and a Shiva temple in Tiskari village, Lonavala. Sanjay Mishra also owns several luxury cars, including a Fortuner and a BMW.
