Border 2 is one of the most talked-about films, which is eyeing a January 2026 release. Ahead of this, a report revealed that the makers are planning to release the teaser in a grand launch event on December 16, marking Vijay Diwas. Now, a new update says that following the teaser release, it will be attached to one of the biggest Hollywood films of the year.

As per Bollywood Hungama, after the release of the teaser on December 16, in the presence of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, it will be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, which releases theatrically on December 19, 2025. With the James Cameron film expected to draw massive footfall to theatres, placing Border 2’s teaser with it can be one of the most effective marketing strategies.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is one of the biggest international releases of the year, and attaching the teaser of Border 2 with it ensures strong visibility across domestic and international screens.

Border 2 teaser to release on December 16

A Pinkvilla report quoted a source close to the production revealing that Border 2’s much-anticipated teaser will premiere on December 16, 2025, in Mumbai, in the presence of the cast and crew. The date holds special significance, as December 16 is Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty are confirmed to attend the teaser premiere, joined by director Anurag Singh and producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta. However, there is no update yet on Diljit Dosanjh’s availability for the event.

Border 2 is the sequel to the 1997 classic Border, directed by JP Dutta and hailed as one of Indian cinema’s finest war action dramas. The original film achieved cult status, amassing a dedicated fan base across the country. The makers aim to recreate that same excitement with this new installment. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The film stars Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and others.
